Please read the below general advice for aftercare.
You will experience three distinct healing phases:
- Fade to implanted colour
Healing Period Information
After 2 to 7 days of the treatment, the procedure area may experience the following symptoms:
- Dryness and itching
- Swelling and Redness
All the above is completely normal. One of the most important things to remember is DO NOT pick at any
scabbing, at all!
After your first session, it is quite normal to lose colour from some areas of the tattoo. Do not worry as this is per fectly okay and it is the reason why we always do a top up treatment.
REMEMBER the colour is up to 50% darker straight after the treatment. It will fade after 4 to 7 days and the true colour will not come through until up to 4 weeks after the initial treatment. During the healing process, the colour may seem to have disappeared as it is obscured by the healing skin. Under no circumstances should you have f urther permanent cosmetic work undertaken during the 4 weeks’ period.
For at least 7 days after a procedure or until the area appears to be healed, include the following daily routine:
Apply the provided “REPAIR CREAM” to the area at least 3 times a day using a cotton bud. Use a clean cotton b ud each time to avoid infection.
Please contact your doctor if redness, tenderness or swelling worsens after 10 days, rather than settling.
What NOT TO DO after the treatment?
DO NOT itch, scratch or rub the area or the colour will heal unevenly or cause
scarring and infection.
DO NOT use makeup on eyebrows for 7 days and in the case of eye procedures use
a new mascara to prevent infection.
DO NOT get your eyebrows wet and sweat at least 7 days to heal the scars
properly. Swelling may worsen in the first 24 hours, and then should settle
within the first few days.
DO NOT apply Vaseline – this will make the area sweat, allowing the pigment to
heal incorrectly during the 7 days healing process. Vaseline can be applied after the 7-days
period and is recommended if you plan to use chlorinated pools and
Jacuzzis. When your permanent cosmetics
are in contact with strong chemicals use a protector.
DO NOT expose the area to extreme heat or extreme cold until healed. This includes sunbathing, tanning beds,
- If any bruising, then it may take a few days to appear, Arnica (can be bought from your local pharmacy) can be helpful in clearing bruising. It is advisable to avoic aspirin and alcohol for 12-48 hours after treatment. Tenderness should settle as swelling goes down.
